Production designer wanted — funded short film, Berlin

A boy terrified of the dark discovers it's the only place safe from the
smiling copies of his family, who wait in the bright kitchen, sweetly
calling him to dinner.

LYING LIGHT is an installation and a film at the same time. While you watch,
your own smart lights sync to the light in the film — when the screen goes
dark, your room goes dark with it. Funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg
within the DIGI.Tale program, realised through the DFFB Berlin.

What there is to build:

A kitchen laid for dinner, too proper, one chair empty. A chandelier and a
row of lamps that can be lit one by one, from small and colourful to big and
elegant — and unscrewed again. A fridge whose light reaches further than it
should. A boy's room next door: blue, toys, a skateboard, bedsheets nailed
over the window, food going cold on the floor. A tall weak IKEA lamp, and a
bulb that gets smashed. A street lamp on a quiet street with a man standing
in its circle of light.

One location, shooting October 26–31, Berlin.
